Refund and Returns Policy

Welcome to Baobabmart. We’re committed to offering our customers the best online shopping experience. We understand that there are times when the products purchased may not meet your expectations, or an unforeseen circumstance may occur, leading to the need for a return or refund.

To address these situations, we’ve established the following Return and Refund policy:

1. Returns

All returns must be initiated within 24hrs from the date of delivery. For defective products or those which were delivered in an unsatisfactory condition, please notify us within 48 hours.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, unaltered, and in the same condition that you received it. Hence, it must also be in the original packaging, with all labels and seals intact.

To initiate a return, you should contact our customer service at  he**@ba********.com  or call +44 7418-370155. Provide your order number, details about the product, and the reason for the return. You will then be given further instructions on how to go about.

However, certain types of goods are exempt to returns including perishable goods, custom-made products, gift cards, downloadable software products, health and personal care items. Full details can be found on the table below.

Change of Mind
If you decide you no longer want the product after it has been shipped or delivered, unfortunately, we do not accept returns for such cases. This is applicable to all product categories.
Used, Altered, or Damaged Items
Items that have been used, altered, or damaged after delivery cannot be returned. This applies to all product categories.
Sale Items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items are not eligible for return or refund.
Perishable Goods
Perishable goods such as food, flowers, or plants cannot be returned due to their nature
Personal Care Items
For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of personal care items, including but not limited to skincare, haircare, cosmetics, and health supplements.
Customized or Personalized Products
Products that are customized or personalized are not eligible for return, as they are uniquely made according to customer specifications.
Digital Products
Digital products such as downloadable software, music, and digital art are not returnable or refundable.
Gift Cards
Gift cards are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Undergarments and Swimwear
For hygienic purposes, undergarments and swimwear are not eligible for return.
Certain Home Appliances and Electronics
Specific home appliances and electronics, once opened or used, cannot be returned.
Products not Eligible for Return

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, and other exceptions may apply based on the specific product or category. For any questions about whether a product is returnable, please contact our customer service team before making your purchase.

2. Refunds

Once we receive your returned item, it will be inspected by our Quality Control team. You will therefore be notified of the approval or rejection of your refund request.

If the return is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a certain number of days, depending on your payment provider.

If your refund is not processed within the timeline, please first check with your bank or credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Late or missing refunds

  • If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
  • Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time to post your refund officially.
  • Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before they post a refund .
  • If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at  he***@ba********.com

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. We do not refund sale items.

3. Exchange

If you wish to exchange a product, please note that Baobabmart treats this as a return, and you will need to place a new order for the product you want.

Products eligible for exchange must meet the same criteria as for returns. We process exchanges within 7 days from the date of delivery.

4. Shipping for Returns

The cost of returning the item(s) is the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

5. Exceptions for Refund and Returns

In exceptional circumstances, if the return is due to an error on our part, we will bear the shipping costs and the rules of the 7 days return policy would not apply.

At BaobabMart, we appreciate prompt pickups for orders designated for ‘store pickup’. Please note that a restocking fee of $3.00 per item will be applicable for all such online orders that remain unclaimed 72 hours after the initial ‘Ready for Pickup’ notification.
